Over 3000 hectares of protected area full of ancient kilns, mansions, majestic forests and rare animal species. The headquarters of the consortium which includes six municipalities is placed in Solaro, where you can also rent bikes and start the exploration of the territory. The park is developed in a system of bike paths that pass through woods and fields for a total of about 35 km. Cyclists can reach the place by car thanks to the many car parking areas nearby. You can visit the oases the Lipu and the Wwf.
Bosco delle Querce Natural Park
The Bosco delle Querce Natural park is located in the alluvial valley of the river Seveso. Inside the park there are a number of avenues along which was placed the “Path of Remembrance” that recounts the incident of 10 July 1976 and the history of the Bosco delle Querce. The park includes a specific natural area usually visited during guided tours. Today the forest is an alive place, that remembers the incident of the past, the ability of those people who wanted to remedy and nature that was able to reborn.
Park of Montevecchia
and Curone Valley
The park is located on the Brianza hills near Montevecchia with a lot of fields and forests that characterize the landscape. In the park there are 11 paths that cross from north to south and from west to east. The territory is protected by tapping all the municipalities that are part of the consortium managing the protected area. The most significant paths are enclosed in a circular route that involves the most beautiful and characteristic places of the park. It can be walked in about 6 hours.
Milano Nord Park
The park was built on abandoned industrial areas and suburban wasteland. Inside the park you can find old buildings like the Breda Theater and the Breda channel as well as the oldest Villa Torretta and Villa Manzoni. Inside the Milano Nord Park you can find equipment for leisure, vegetable gardens, bocce courts, children’s play areas, free areas for dogs, a track for cyclists, a baseball field and picnic areas. The Cascina Centro Park hosts exhibitions, artistic and sport events, shows, entertainment activities and environmental education activities. A vast number of paths for a total of over 40 km through the park connecting the various neighborhoods that surround the park.
Valle del Lambro Park
This park is located in Brianza, between the lakes of Pusiano and Alserio and the Villa Reale Park in Monza. Throughout the Park are built many villas, factories of industrial archeology, churches and farms perfectly integrated with the natural landscape, to witness the passage of generations, cultures and people that have lived these zones. A path of 40 km near the river, through woods and villages, which runs between Monza and Alserio lake.
Monza Park is considered one of the biggest fenced in parks in Europe and is considered according to most, as a unique beauty because of it’s landscaping, historical and architectural value. It is possible to explore this park via various itineraries: those who are on the lookout to explore magnificent villas, like Villa Reale (Royal Villa), or maybe those who would like to take a hike along the footpaths along the Lambro River so that they can have the wonderful occasion to be introduced to any number of diverse animals and plants. Or even the route which takes you to discover the “Giganti Verdi”, which are secular trees which are all over this large reserve. From 1992 Monza Park hosts the Monza Racetrack, which is one of the racecar circuits renowned worldwide.
